Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
You must have a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) issued by a CRICOS-registered Australian institution after accepting your offer and paying the required tuition deposit.
Genuine Student (GS) Requirement
You must provide a written statement demonstrating you are a genuine student — explaining your course choice, its relevance to your background, how it benefits your career, and why you chose to study in Australia.
Financial Capacity
You must show evidence of sufficient funds. As of 2026 the living-cost threshold for a single student is AUD $29,710 per year, in addition to first-year tuition fees and return airfare (approximately AUD $2,000–$3,000). Additional amounts apply for accompanying family members.
English Language Requirement
You must meet minimum scores on an approved in-person English test (e.g. IELTS, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge). Online or at-home test versions are not accepted for visa purposes.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
You must purchase and maintain Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the full duration of your visa. Approved providers include Medibank, Bupa, Allianz Care Australia, NIB, and AHM.
Valid Passport
You must hold a valid passport for the duration of your intended stay in Australia.
Visa Application Charge
The base visa application charge for the primary applicant is AUD $2,500. Applications are lodged online through ImmiAccount.
