Letter of Acceptance (ILEP Course)
You must be enrolled in a full-time, daytime course listed on the Interim List of Eligible Programmes (ILEP) leading to a major award at NFQ Level 7 or above, and provide the letter of acceptance.
Proof of Tuition Fees Paid
You must pay your tuition fees before applying if they are under €6,000. If fees exceed €6,000, at least that amount must be paid in advance and evidenced.
Financial Evidence
You must show access to at least €10,000 for one year of living costs (in addition to tuition), typically via six months of bank statements or a €10,000 education bond. At least €10,000 must be shown for each subsequent year. Credit cards are not accepted as proof.
Private Medical Insurance
All non-EEA students must hold private medical insurance covering accidents and hospital stays. General travel insurance and cash-back policies are not accepted.
English Language Proficiency
You must provide evidence of English (or Irish) language ability as required by your higher-education provider.
IRP Registration on Arrival
After arriving in Ireland you must register with Immigration Service Delivery (ISD) to receive an Irish Residence Permit (IRP). Registration carries a €300 fee.
