Offer of Place
You must have an offer of place from an education provider approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) for enrolment in an approved course of study.
Proof of Funds
You must show you have enough money to live on — at least NZD $20,000 per year (or NZD $1,667 per month for shorter courses) in addition to tuition fees — via bank statements, a financial guarantee, or a scholarship.
Proof of Tuition Payment
You must provide a receipt showing your tuition fees have been paid, or evidence of an approved fee arrangement, before the visa can be granted.
Health & Medical Requirements
Depending on your length of stay and country, you may need a general medical examination and a chest x-ray to meet Immigration New Zealand's health requirements.
Character Requirements (Police Certificate)
If you are aged 17 or over and staying more than 24 months, you must provide police certificates to meet character requirements.
Valid Passport & Onward Travel
You must hold a passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure, and may need to show evidence of onward travel or funds to purchase it.
